About Me
My style of practice is all about helping you bring balance into your life when things start to feel unstable, uneven or insecure-and to help you feel ready to embrace your next stage of growth.
I believe that we all hold a blend of inner qualities that reflect our personality. In a time of crisis, we may need to reassess these qualities, and perhaps change our relationship with them, so we can expand our potential and live a fuller, happier life.
To facilitate self-awareness, I place particular attention in developing a trusting, safe and collaborative relationship in the therapy room. When we become clearer about how we interact in relationships with friends, family, work, partners and the different stages of life we may be facing, we can begin to develop a stronger sense of who we really are. This stronger connection to our true selves can lead to personal growth and enhanced wellbeing as we seek to live more satisfying and meaningful lives.
I am an Integrative practitioner, this means I draw from different psychological modalities, including psychodynamic, existential and creatively incorporate the transpersonal use of visualisations and dream work. Ultimately, my main focus is you, and for this reason I tailor the type of therapy to your individual needs and presenting issues.
I work with adults, groups as well as young people. As part of my clinical work I also supervise and teach in psychotherapy. My experience includes psychotherapy in the NHS, secondary care for the WLMHT, Counselling in primary care for the NHS IAPTS and facilitating groups for mental health charity Mind.
My qualifications include:
Postgraduate-dip specialising in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy from CCPE (UKCP & BACP).
BSc Psychology, BA (hons) Journalism.
